Problem using the Zotero add-in to add citations to Word footnotes (mac)

I've searched the forums but have come up empty-handed. I'm using Zotero 5.0 and Word for Mac 2016. In the earlier part of the document I inserted citations into Word footnotes without a problem. I then saved the document (halfway through inserting the citations) and when I opened it today found that I get an error message when I try to add citations to a footnote: 'Zotero experienced an error updating your document' 'Field undefined'.

Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
