general issues with Zotero 5.0

I've been using Zotero for quite a while now, however since the update to 5.0. I've experienced numerous issues.

1. Unable to cite from either Chrome or Firefox. It was giving an error,
I have, as suggested updated both plugins with no success. after an update Now it simply does nothing.

2. Unable to locate lost links. File not found, locate button does nothing.

I've also re loaded the entire program to see if there is some kind of error, in the install. This has had no effect.
I'm at a bit of a loss, as to how to resolve these issues and restore these key functions of the program.

1. Could you say exactly what you mean here? "Cite" isn't actually something Zotero does from the browsers. Do you mean import? If so, could we get some URLs where it fails? And when you say "does nothing" -- does that mean there is no reaction at all? Not even the grey pop-up at the bottom when you click on the Save to Zotero icon?

2. Which system and when did you update to 5.0? Can you open those files from your library here on the website?
