1. Why is "ZotFile Preferences..." under the Tools menu? Is not it supposed to be under Edit (at least in Windows version)?

2. I find the option to switch between the "Standard" and "Stacked" View Layout options very useful, and I frequently use it. May be this is the case for other users. Is not it possible to include a shortcut buttom in the tools bar?

Tools is where the Add-Ons menu is, so it is where Zotfile and Zutilo have also decided to put their preferences. This is consistent with a lot of programs that support third party add-Ons.

@bwiernik , "Zutilo preferences" is in the Edit menu, just below "Preferences". This is just the reason of my suggestion.

Zutilo just appears to have not updated the location to Tools yet:
