Zotero sync on unreliable connection

Hi - I needed some advice from more experienced Zotero users. I am an avid user and have used the Zotero 1.0 series to store a huge amount of my critical information, both research and otherwise, for more than a year. I am strongly tempted to upgrade to Zotero 1.5 (I have a running incremental backup script so not afraid of errors). However, I am concerned about one aspect. I usually work with extremely slow - I mean REALLY slow - and highly unreliable net connections, which often fail, sometimes every few minutes. The Zotero 1.0 series doesn't care about this, so I'm fine. Will it affect the performance of 1.5? Would it for instance result in freezes / delays / corruption of data?

Thanks a lot!
  • Other than sync, Zotero's other functionality in 1.5 works offline just as well as in 1.0.x. You can also disable autosync in 1.5.
