When I triedto cite a in while writing in Words, I got a message that says

"macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your macro security setting"

    correction pls - I meant to write:
    When I tried to cite a document while writing in Words, Zotero said
    "macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your macro security setting"

    Check your macro security settings in Word. What are they set to? Also, please check your Word startup folder and make sure that Zotero.dot or Zotero.dotm are placed there.

    If you are using Word 2013 it does not respect Add-on macro setting exception, so you'll have to enable macros for all documents, or at least keep them disabled with a notification and enable manually for each document you need Zotero in.
