Zotero nicht bei Word zu finden

Ich habe mittlerweile alles mögliche probiert, nachdem ich Zotero eben installiert habe, aber nirgendwo in Word lässt sich die Möglichkeit finden mit Zotero zu arbeiten.

    Ein paar mehr Details waeren hilfreich: Welche Word und Zotero Version, welches Betriebssystem, was genau hast Du probiert mit welchem Ergebnis?

    Word 2011, die neuste Zotero Version eben von der Website runtergelassen (5.0?), habe ein MacBook Pro 2016.

    Theoretisch sollte das Add-Inn doch unter diesem geschwungenen Blatt bei Word zu finden sein, da ist allerdings nichts angegeben. Unter Entwicklertools Add-Ins genau so wenig. Im Add-Ons Manager von Zotero ist nur ein LibreOffice Integration Tool installiert.

    Gibt Dir Zotero die Option Word Integration im "Cite" (Zitieren(?)) Tab in den Zotero Einstellungen zu installieren oder re-installieren?

    Nein. Auch da wird nur das für LibreOffice angezeigt.

    @adomasven -- this sounds like Zotero isn't recognizing that Word is installed at all? I can guide the user through manual download and installation, but this seems wrong.

    @adamsmith Looks like the Word integration plugin isn't even installed (which, with Zotero standalone shouldn't happen), so installing the plugin manually in Word won't do much.

    @N.Seide Could you download and reinstall Zotero 5.0 again, just to make sure your last download wasn't corrupt somehow?

    (I was thinking of having them install the .xpi manually in Zotero)

    No, people running the standalone client should never install the XPIs — that page is only still up for Zotero for Firefox users and contains outdated plugin versions, and since those XPIs will never be updated installing them is likely to cause problems in the future. If the plugin isn't showing up as installed in the Add-ons pane, there's something wrong with the installation, so reinstalling is the first thing to try. (We're going to stop bundling the plugins as extensions altogether in an upcoming version, since there's no need for that anymore.)
