Restarting footnote numbering, Turabian para. 16.3.3, Word sections for Chapters

When a longer written work, like a dissertation, has chapters, Turabian Style (8th ed) specifies that footnote numbering should restart at 1 for each chapter (para 16.3.3).

Is there a way to adapt Turabian CSS to do this within one Word document, maybe by using continuous sections? Or is one limited to having each chapter be a separate Word doc (which works for printing since you can join the printouts later, but is more complicated with electronic paper submissions)?

I have minimal editing experience having recently removed the automatic use of "Ibid" in "Turabian 8th edition (full note)" since it did not limit use of "Ibid" to notes on the same page (per Turabian para. 16.4.2). I did this using instructions posted by Adam Smith in a different thread (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/269370#Comment_269370) and the Zotero "Step-by-Step Guide" (https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step) and using Notepad++ (link at "Step-by-Step Guide").

Footnote numbering is entirely handled in Word (where it's fairly easy to restart footnotes for every section). You can google instructions for your respective Word version. FWIW, this is _not_ easily doable in LibreOffice, but again, that's a problem of that software unrelated to CSL/Zotero.

The only place where this causes problems is when you use cross-references between notes in the CSL style, which isn't the case for Turabian.
