Notes Not Transferred to New Computer

When I switched to a new computer I exported my entire library on a flash drive and everything transferred to the new computer except for two standalone notes. One of them is very important and only shows up as a blank note. It isn't in my online library either. I'm wondering if there is any way I could still access it somehow
  • How did you transfer the library? Did you use export, or did you transfer the data directory?

  • I used export, I wish I read that before transferring things..Is there any way to get those files back?
  • What format did you use? Do you have the file you exported to? If you open that in a text editor, it's possible you can find your note content there. Generally speaking all the content should transfer, but it depends on the format you used, the version you exported from, etc. — it's just a much less reliable method than transferring the database.
  • If I remember correctly it was Zotero RDF. How would I go about opening that with Word or Notepad? Would I save it as a .txt item and then use notepad to open it up? I'm not very good with computers so I appreciate the help.
  • An RDF file is just a text file. You can open it from any text editor.
