Any way to still have Zotero and web browser on one screen?

Hello, I am trying to figure out the changes with Zotero. I have been using Zotero for Firefox and liked how you could have a webpage and the Zotero citation manager on one screen. Saved a lot of time and energy switching from one applicaton to another since I am a librarian and download many citations into Zotero.

The way I understand it, Zotero 5.0 replaces Z. for Firefox and there is now no way to have the browser and Z. on one screen. Not sure why the thinkers at Zotero would make that change. Please someone tell me I'm wrong.

Thanks for any help, Scott
  • See our blog post for the reasons behind the change. (Short version: we didn't have a choice, but we also think it's for the best.)

Beyond that, it's the same as working with any two programs on your computer. You can either arrange the windows to fit side by side on your monitor or you can switch between them (e.g., by using Cmd-Tab (Mac) or Alt-Tab (Windows), which is very fast if you get used to it).
