Extract annotations

Previously, with version 4.*, I could use the ZotFile plugin to extract highlighted text from PDF files important into Zotero. ZotFile is incompatible with Zotero 5.0 and so this rather crucial feature is lost. Will this option be integrated into Zotero, or is there a potential workaround that I am missing?
