Customized citation style not remembered, switches back to original
I observed a strange behaviour. For my own purposes, I altered a popular citation style (KZfSS) for my own needs. When I import the style to Zotero and select it in the Word plugin, everything works well.
But after having rebooted the PC and restarted Zotero and Word, the Citation style has magically switched back to the default style in Zotero as well as in the Word document. This happens even when I removed this style from Zotero.
Is there any logical explanation for that? Does, for example, Zotero automatically re-parse the citation style from the URL in the id tag or in link rel="self"?

damnationedited July 5, 2017You should definetly have different filename, title, self link and ID for your style. (from my own experience with Mendeley)

bwiernikYes, you need to change at minimum the style id, but ideally also the self link and the title, or Zotero will overwrite the style with the original when there is an update.

HNPPerfect. Seems to work. Thank you!
