    .
  • Can you provide an example URL that does not work?
  • having same problem. Here's an example link:
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24217413
  • Can confirm the problem with the PubMed translator. Won't work on any of the records I tested. There is a record entered in the database, but apart the title the URL, the accessed date, modified and added date no other information is preserved in Zotero.

    Firefox 54.0, Zotero 4.0.29.21

I tried to reset translators and also installed "Scaffold", which indicates that 7 out of 13 tests do not pass with "Item 0 does not match" error.

This is a major issue. Please, is there anyone knowledgeable about the PubMed translator able to debug the issue ? Many thanks.
  • Just to be clear -- we can't replicate this issue and there would be many more reports if it were a general issue. It also seems like you're seeing a different issue from the original error posted here.

When you hover over the Save to Zotero icon on a pubmed page, what does it say?

Thank you for the answer. I agree that it might be a different issue. Example URL:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15606839

Mouse hover on the icon next to the "Z" for Zotero shows: "Save to Zotero (Ctrl+Shift+S). The options arrow has two entries: "Save to Zotero as Web Page (with snapshot)" and "Save to Zotero as Web Page (without snapshot).

I've been using Zotero for many years without problems. Do not know what to do. I have Zotero Standalone installed as well. Thank you.
  • Start by resetting translators from the advanced tab of the Zotero preferences and restarting Firefox after that.
  • Tried that, did not change the behaviour - thank you for the suggestion. Installing the new Zotero Connector 5.0.7 (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/267549/#Comment_267549) seem to work. It correctly saved the record to the Zotero Standalone. Should I upgrade the Zotero Standalone to version 5, or the connector has no problem with a 4.0.29.10 version ?
    Thank you.
  • you didn't mention you were using Standalone, too -- that'd have changed troubleshooting -- but in any case, the Connector will work with 4.0 Standalone. Unless you're on linux, though, .29.10 isn't the most recent version and you should update. I believe we're art .29.17 on windows and .29.15 on Mac.
  • Many thanks for your help and advice. I'm indeed using Linux (Ubuntu 17.04).
