[5 Beta] Generate Report from Collection does not work

In Zotero 5.0-beta.207+0495f2920 "generate report from COLLECTION" does not work when I want to create a report from an entire collection. It issues a blank new window. Whereas, "Generate report from ITEMS" works when I select some items.

A workaround:

Open a collection. Select all (ctl/cmd A). Right click: Generate report.

edit: I had not tried "generate report from collection" because I usually want to exclude de-selected items from the report. Thus, what I recommended above. In respect of the @dstillman post I actually tested and found that I can also generate a report from collection. It seems that my recommendation was hasty because my system doesn't have your problem. Follow the instruction (below) and provide a report ID.

We'd need a Report ID. This works for me.

@DWL-SDCA; I do use this workaround. And it is not a major problem for me. But when the context menu suggests "generate report from collection" when I right-click on a collection, then it should also work properly.

[Update] With the latest update (5.0-beta.214+5c4565288) it works perfectly.

I get a blank page when I click "generate report from collection" but "generate report from items" works.

Fixed in 219 — thanks. This happened only when sorting by date or creator, which is why we weren't seeing it.
