Connector won’t fetch metadata

It seems that the connector for Firefox has some difficulties with tandfonline.com. I can’t fetch the papers’ metadata. I had no troubles using Safari.

Happy to oblige. I run into troubles with this three papers:

What is the problem you are seeing? It does not fetch the PDF for me, but I do not have access to it, otherwise it's fine. When you hover over the connector icon does it properly specify the translator (Taylor and Francis+NEJM)? If not try resetting the translators from Connector preferences.

I checked and the Connector chooses the right translator (Taylor and Francis+NEJM).

However, after playing around with the Firefox preferences for a bit, I seem to have found the cause. In the “Privacy” panel, I changed “Accept third-party cookies” from “Never” to “From Visited” and the Connector now adds the papers to my library.

Is there a reason for this behaviour? As far as I can remember, I had no troubles with the old Zotero Add-on and third-party cookies…

As long as the Connector is able to access the cookies programatically it should be fine, but it might be the case that the preference prevents that access.

@gondolin Thank you! Your fix works for me too.

I would like to know why the new Zotero Add-on requires this change. Personally, I would like to have third-party cookies disabled or enabled individually.
