Firefox Extension, Chrome Extension, and the Standalone Version

I used to use Zotero for Firefox. Recently, I have also installed the Chrome Extension thus also the Zotero Standalone. All on the same laptop. If I add an item in Chrome, I assume it is supposed to sync onto the Zotero Standalone? Is there a chance the installation of the Zotero Standalone will mess up the database that was set up by Zotero for Firefox? Should I stay with EITHER Zotero for Firefox OR Zotero Standalone, but not both?

    No, you're fine. Standalone and Zotero for Firefox share a database and if you fire up Standalone, the Firefox add-on just behaves the same way the Chrome extension does.

    Pretty soon, the Firefox-only add-on will go away anyway, so there's just Standalone and browser extensions.
