Importing Custom Fields from Endnote into Zotero

Hi, I am fairly new to both Zotero and Endnote, so I am sorry if I don't ask the question well or ask a question that has already been answered.

I have seen that anything imported from Endnote into Zotero which has no corresponding field gets put into a note. Does anyone know if there is a way to have these unknown fields imported as a set of tags instead of a note? Thank you!
  • Not easily. It's possible by modifying the javascript that handles endnote import and it's not a giant modification, but if you've never done anything in javascript, it's likely going to be prohibitively difficult, and it's also more than at least I'd have the time for to walk you through step-by-step.

If you do know some javascript, the translators are in the translators folder in the Zotero data directory:

  • Thank You!
