Upgrade StorageDifficulty downloading Word Plugin
Hello,
I'm having difficulty downloading the plugin for Word 2016. I download the xpi file from the zotero page, and then my computer (Windows) has some difficulty extracting the files from xpi. What do I do after extracting? I have been opening the "Zotero" word document in the "install" folder and trying to add the plugin that way. However, after I load the plugin that way I receive this error: "Zotero could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure that the appropriate extension is installed and try again."
Anyone know what is going on?

In short:
If you are using Zotero Standalone the plugins come pre-packaged and the word plugin should install automatically. If it didn't, see if you have an option to install the plugin under Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processor plugins.
If you are using Zotero for Firefox, you need to download the .xpi plugin with firefox (or drag the downloaded file into the Firefox window), which will install the plugin.
Overall, we recommend switching to Zotero Standalone, if you are a new user, as Zotero for Firefox will be discontinued shortly.
