i have a word (mac) document with 340 pages and 2100 footnotes. is it possible to automatically creat a list of all the literature used? if so, how?

    How did you insert the footnotes? Using Zotero?

    yes of course

    Have you tried just clicking on "Insert Bibliography" using the Word add-on? Does that not work?

    Place the cursor where you want the bibliography in your document. Then click the Insert Bibliography button in the Zotero tab/toolbar.

    it works with 20 pages, but not with the document of a whole dissertation....
    any idea how to get the bibliography "out"

    in general, this works. You'd have to be more specific on what happens/how it fails for us to say more. Note that in particular on Word for Mac in large documents, this can take significant time (~30mins wouldn't be that unusual) and Zotero may freeze for some of it.
