Search with diacritics

  • Hello!
This discussion is a bit anglo-centric so far. :) In german academia we usually use the ISO 9 transliteration that is based on Czech language. I don't care about importing stuff, because I double check everything I import, anyway. What bothers me is the absent possibility of searching in my Zotero data-base for Names etc. when they contain diacritical symbols. The same is true for anything that is in fact Czech or, say, Polish. German library catalogs allow to type the basic letter and would show also the different diacritical ones. E.g., you type Selest and would find Šelest (Shelest, Шелест) or Slask, find Śląsk. This feature included to Zotero would make my life much easier! :)
    Best wišes ;)
  • That's different, though. Discussed at length here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12684/special-character-search though no solution available.
  • Thanks! Yes, the problem is addressed, now it simply should be solved. ;)
