PDFs ,Snapshots, & Redundancy: a Suggestion
I’m a new user, trying to figure out both what Zotero will do and what I want from it.
I’ve learned that when preferences are appropriately checked, Zotero will automate both downloading of PDFs from a bibliographic index (e.g., ISI Web of Knowledge) and the capture of “snapshots” of web pages without classic bibliographic info.
Indexes have pages in their own right, at the same time as they provide PDF access. However, if the PDF successfully downloads, I no longer want the now redundant snapshot of the index’s web page. Unfortunately, if I uncheck the preference for automatic snapshots, my regular web page captures will be affected.
Could there be a subpreference under automatic PDFs to suspend automatic snapshots when the PDF successfully downloads? Or possibly a quick dialog question to ask my intent?

amacom73+1 on this. I only want the snapshot when I can't get the PDF. Thanks for suggesting this.
