Create Bibliography from Item with Journal Abbreviations

Hi,

When I generate a citation using the "copy to clipboard" option in the "generate bibliography from item" menu in the zotero, it does not use journal abbreviations. When I use the word plugin, journal abbreviations work fine but when I copy it from the app, they do not appear to work for some reason. Is there a solution to this?

Currently the journal abbreviations created are only automatically created when you use the word processor add-on. For citations generated from within Zotero, the Journal Abbr. field is used. This has always been something that was supposed to get fixed, but no idea if there's any movement on it. @adomasven is this something that's on your list/radar?

I really wish the bibliography info copied to clipboard had the journal abbreviation applied. Or I wish there was a filter that automatically fills the "Journal Abbr" field referring to some user-defined 'dictionary' or online source (just like when integrated with Word plugin) when an item gets created.
