Cannot find 'traffic light' screen
Hello!
I'm a proofreader, and get a number of academic theses to work on. I have been trying to get started with Zotero, and have watched a lot of the online tutorials on the Zotero support page. I seem to have a major problem, however, in that I can't find the screen/view/page that all the experts are talking about.
I have tried with Zotero standalone, and with the web version, and have downloaded the Zotero for Firefox software and the Word plugin (I'm using Windows 10, with Word 2016). When I click the Z icon in the Firefox toolbar I get the screen at the bottom of the page, and have started a library and manually entered a couple of references.
However, I can't find the page with the top ribbon with the 'traffic lights' at the left, so I haven't yet found any of the icons you click to snag a citation. All the online support videos and documents seem to assume that you are starting in that page, and accessing JSTOR, Library catalogues etc from there.
Could someone kindly advise me what I'm doing wrong?
Many thanks, if you are able to help,
Frith
