duplicate Item characteristics like name, Univ, etc

It could be duplicate issue I looked but couldn't find
over long usage of zotero many items could be duplicated with some slight deference or mistake some times
mostly author name, some time just capitalization make 2 names
also names of same author in deferent char-set like Latin # Arabic
language of the file En & English
University name short and long or Arabic and English
could it be some auto method to mass correction of these duplicates

    long time ago I suggested building attached fields to some characteristics like authors, univs, publishers.. etc
    this sub profiles is somehow important and it could be attached as notes or create other column in the database.
    something like this could be used to merge duplicates because it describes one field which is repeated between items not the particular item

    Regarding to the names, is there any Ideas to give the name possible aliases ?
    it's very important for non English or non Latin letters names
    because deferent types of the name could be used in deferent site
    same for the Item title it could have many aliases but it could be inserted as long title even having aliases could be better
