Zotero referencing lost after download of word document from Google Docs

Dear Zotero support,

I have had a lot of issues with my Zotero referencing tool in the last few months. The current issue is that after downloading a Zotero referenced document from Google Docs, any recognition that Zotero was used has disappeared. Is there a way for the referencing to get recognised again?

    Unfortunately no. Your only chance would be to find an older version of the document from before you opened it in Google Docs.
