APA 6 Style: doi without https://

Dear Zotero Team,

I am a bit confused.

According to APA 6 style, you should cite "doi" in the following way:
doi:10.1027/1864-9335/a000138

But Zotero does this:
https://doi.org/10.1027/1864-9335/a000138

I do not understand why Zotero does it in this way. Is it possible to change?!

The format Zotero uses is the current APA format and is strongly recommended by APA. The format was first changed from "doi:" by the 2012 APA Guide to Electronic References and has been subsequently updated to use CrossRef's (one of the major DOI issuing organizations) display guidelines.

(where it's absolutely needed -- even though as bwiernik says APA prefers the URL format and CrossRef is actively discouraging the use of doi: -- we do have APA with the old format: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-old-doi-prefix )
