Upgrade Storagelibre office & Zotero - microsoft word & EndNote compatibility

I am new to Zotero!
I use ubuntu, libre office and Zotero at home and Windows MS word with EndNote at work.
What I am trying to do now is to work on one text document with both combinations.
Has anyone succeeded with this?
On Linux: I installed Zotero into Firefox, then installed the plugin for libre office. The Zotero Menu bar appears in Libre office, all worked well and I inserted some citations.
under "set document preferences" I chose the Bookmarks option and saved the file in .doc format.
On Windows / MS word I opened the file. However, EndNote did not detect any citations. I inserted some citations using EndNote. Those, back in Libre Office, appear as write protected elements with a gray background.
What do I need to change in order for this to work?

adomasvenZotero citations are incompatible with EndNote and vice-versa. You can always switch to Zotero on both machines, of course!
