Upgrade StorageDoes Zotero work with Word 2016 and 2017?
Hello! I am a longtime Zotero enthusiast who often teaches Zotero workshops and does 1:1 instruction with faculty. For whatever reason, my Zotero will not communicate with Word 2016. The exact error message I get is, "Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure that Zotero or Firefox is open and try again." Of course, Zotero is open in Firefox. I can still use Zotero in Word 2011, but I've been told by IT that Word 2011 will delete next time I run my software update. Do you know why I am getting this error message? I also noticed when I did a Zotero demo in Word 2017 on a University computer, the same error message popped up. Perhaps the plug-ins aren't supported on newer versions of Word? Please help!!!

Is that Mac or Windows? On Mac, this appears to be a bit finicky about the start folder location.
Note that with the upcoming release of Zotero 5.0 (available as Beta now), you will need to install the desktop Zotero client, which is something you will probably have to work out with the IT department, so it is worthwhile to bring it up now.
