PDFs won't open in firefox after changing directory

Hi,
I changed the Zotero directory on my harddrive. Also, I changed my online sync. I used Box WebDAV before and changed it to another WebDAV service. Now, when add an entry to my library with a full text pdf, it won't open in the browser (I use Zotero Firefox version). Same goes for pdfs that were already in my library. When I open an online pdf in the browser regularly, Firefox will show the pdf. I just cannot open the pdfs that I have in my Zotero library. What's wrong?

when you say "it doesn't open in the browser" does that mean it opens elsewhere or it doesn't open at all? If the latter, is there an error message?

I can open it in an external pdf viewer, by clicking the corresponding option in Zotero. But I cannot view the pdf in Firefox, when I try to open it from the library. At the same time I can view online pdfs in Firefox, just not from the Zotero library.
