Can't delete Zotero items

Firefox crashed when I was trying to delete a number of attachments from Zotero. When I restarted, the attachments were still there in the Zotero database, but are no longer in the Zotero directory (i.e. when I click 'Show File' the 'The attached file cannot be found' box comes up). The problem is, every time I try to delete one of these attachments from the Zotero database, I get a dialogue box saying 'Your Zotero database has become corrupt'. Is there any way I can delete these attachments or will I have to reinstall everything all over again? (I'm using version 1.0.9, by the way)

    Check your database integrity in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences (under the gear menu). If it shows problems, use the DB Repair Tool.

    Otherwise, please send in an error report using Report Errors (also under the gear menu) after receiving the error and before restarting Firefox and post the Report ID here.
