How to recover a lost folder

I recently had a sub-folder deleted from a community folder. It had an identical name to another folder, and one of them has simply disappeared. I am wondering if the synch function in Zotero has simply edited out one. If so, is it possible to recover the lost folder somehow?

    The names of collections make no difference for syncing. The only reason a collection would disappear is if someone deleted it. I'm afraid we have no way to restore deleted data.
