Style Error: [Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology]

I was wondering if I could get some help with modifying the template for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology; the current output puts in DOIs; looking at the author's guide as well as a few papers, it seems they are not wanted. I tried making some changes on the code to get rid of the DOIs but managed to break the style file.

Maybe documentation on http://docs.citationstyles.org/en/stable/specification.html is helpfull for you.
In CGaH template you can delete lines 48-51 and on line 52 and 69 delete text "else-"

It's an elsevier journal. Elsevier wants to have DOIs included, no?

It's none of their standard citations styles, though, so I'd defer to the style guide here.
