Installed Zotero 5.0-beta.163+d0d7aec and Zotfile 5. Everything worked smooth. Move/rename/link to pdf file in another location works well too. Did notice in my article searches (school library) that I have to actually preview the PDF in the browser now to get the import button to light up in the FF connector vice just navigating to the article page. Is this by design?
That should work. Could we get a debug ID from the Firefox connector for loading that first page (the link will probably not work anymore, so you'll have to navigate to it again. The key part is that we get the debug for loading the type of page where Zotero should, but doesn't, display an active Save to Zotero icon.
Actually, I think debug output logging is broken in the current beta of Zotero Connector for Firefox. We'll have a new version out soon with a fix and will post here when we do.
Many thanks, all that aside thank you for maintaining a free and open source ref manager that outshines the pay offerings by miles...have tried many and none resolve articles as well as Zotero. I dream of in app PDF annotation one day, but that is for another thread. Thanks again.
Edit: @dstillman since this isn't about ZotFile anymore, could you split it off please?
Lights up (http://web.b.ebscohost.com.library.capella.edu/bsi/pdfviewer/pdfviewer?vid=4&sid=cfb0f289-8571-4f46-aca5-54bc9901577a@sessionmgr101)
@dstillman Not sure about the split piece, I am thread challenged.
