Changing Owner

Is there a way to change the owner. My organization has used this for a resource library but the individual who started it and is listed as the owner is retiring. Not sure how to make sure all the access remains if the owner is no longer involved.
  • The owner of a group can transfer ownership in the group settings
    (click on "Manage Profile" here: https://www.zotero.org/groups ).

    The option is on the right. The transfer is only complete when the new owner accepts it. If files are shared within the group, make sure the new owner has enough storage on their account.

    FWIW, I recommend (and have established in my group) that groups use a non-personal account for group ownership, for which at least two people know the log-in. That way, groups aren't affected by change in personnel.

  • Once ownership is accepted by a new owner, what is the default Membership Setting for a previous owner?
  • I haven't re-tested, but I'm pretty sure it defaults to member.
