Zotero and Firefox 31.0

I tried to install Zotero standalone on my computer but it failed because zotero is "not compatible with Firefox 31.0"(it's updated)... any ideas? thanks!

    Firefox 31 is extremely outdated — it's over two years old — and not safe to use. Update to the latest version — 51 or 45 ESR — from Mozilla's site.

    (Note, though, that Zotero Standalone is — as the name implies — a standalone program that doesn't depend on a browser, so I assume you're referring to the Zotero Firefox extension.)
