citations lost after software reset.

Hello, I performed a software reset today which removed microsoft word but left all saved files alone. After reinstalling word all my zotero citations from april have disapeared. Any help would be appreciated.

could you describe what "disappeared" means in this context? Zotero would never actually remove the citation text from a Word document, so I am not clear what you're referring to.

Hi thanks for the reply. The citations in the word documents are still there but the reference list where you go to 'add/edit' are gone. They are also gone from my zotero firefox add on - except for the ones from before april.

Thank you Dan Stillman, I think I have found the old zotero on my computer but I'm not sure how to get it into the new zotero file in my computer. The instructions on the link doesn't have the same file names as the ones on my computer so I don't know how to locate it e.g when i search all the terms Appdata doesn't exsit and neither does random string.

Thank you guys, I have worked it out. I was going wrong becasue I didn't know you had to click on view and tick the box to show the hidden files to locate the Appdata file.
