Hangs when typing notes in Zotero 4.0.29 Firefox Windows 7

Frequently, while typing in notes into Zotero, everything inside Firefox hangs for several seconds. I cannot type or click on anything in the Zotero pane or Firefox browser, like the address bar.

This is a recent problem beginning a month or so ago that was not present over the couple years prior with my use of Zotero.

I can still use other programs during this hangigng, like Chrome, Word, etc.

Additionally, this hanging behavior with the Zotero pane open happens sporadically when not editing or otherwise viewing a note in Zotero.

My guess would be that it's some interaction with syncing, in which case there's a pretty good chance it will go away with the 5.0 version of Zotero, due out very soon. You could try the beta (which is quite stable) or wait until the final release, which should be soon. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/59829/zotero-5-0-beta/p1
obviously, should that not fix it, bring it back up.
