Exporting files under a collection in Linux (KDE)

Hello,
I need to export all files (pdf, word etc.) under a collection. I have not been able to do this. Files in zotero data directory are scattered into some cryptic folders. They are not combined into same directory even if they are in the same collection. Each file must be searched differently in the file system. KDE Dolphin does not support drag and drop as suggested in the forums. When I drag a file, it KDE Dolphin creates text file with reference to exported files. I need to export the files themselves.

    Rather strange, that KDE Dolphin does not support drag-and-drop. Either way, you could just use in-build Zotero export functionality. Right click a collection, choose "Export Collection", choose any format, like "Zotero RDF", which allows exporting files, click OK and select the directory to export to. Note that your files will be subnested for each item, but it should be fairly straightforward to move them out if need be.

    You could also use ZotFile's "Send to Tablet" functionality for this (it actually just sends files to any pre-specificed folder, not necessarily a tablet).
