APA in-text citation for multiple pages, a burning question!

I am quoting a material from an article in my words but required to include page numbers as part of university requirements in every in-text citation i include. So, the first part of material is on page number 437 and later part of definition is on page number 431. In other words, sentence begings with material from page 437 and ends with material from page 431 (I am curious about order of page numbers) .

How should be the in-text ciation. which page number should come first?

(X, p. 437, 431) or (X, p. 431, 437)

Many thanks.
  • APA style doesn't specify an order one way or the other. You can simply list the pages in the order that makes sense. In this case, I think doing 437 then 431 makes the most sense.
  • Many thanks brother.
