Lost earlier My library

O.K., I am a rank novice in using Zotero. However, in the course of a writing project I had built up an extensive My Library. I paused the project for nearly a year. In the meantime, I updated Firefox as well as my Macbook Pro software (to OSX El Capitan, 10.11.6). When I returned to the project, I noticed that my Zotero icon had disappeared from the upper right hand corner of the Firefox window. I then downloaded a new version of Zotero. But, upon opening this new version of Zotero, I discovered that I have a completely new (and blank) My Library. Going to the Zotero homepage and clicking on My Library, I see what appears to be my old, former My Library. O.K., how do I transfer the earlier version of My Library to my current Zotero. Help!

It's possible that you reset Firefox in the meantime, in which case you'd want to look for the data on your desktop. Failing that, you'd want to try to find your old data elsewhere on your computer. If you can't, you can also just sync to pull down your data from zotero.org (assuming it was fully synced before).
