Syncing problems

Hello,

I ran a Zotero workshop and a student ran into issues syncing. She uses Safari and Standalone and had a relatively new Macbook so I'm not sure there's an operating system problem.

She downloaded Zotero successfully but when we tried to sync using Preferences and entering her username and password in Zotero Sync Server, there were no OK, Cancel or Help icons at the bottom of the screen so we couldn't sync her account.

Is there something ludicrously simple that would solve this? I don't think she did anything out of the ordinary in downloading/registering - she used the right download options.

  • You don't need an OK button to sync (nor does the OK button sync on Windows/Linux). You just close the preferences and either wait for auto-sync to kick in or click the green sync error at the top right.
