Library just won't sync on my laptop, and I've tried everything

Hi,

Title says it all. I have a new laptop, and am trying to sync my library via Firefox. The green sync button spins and spins, and nothing else happens. My library is not that big. I have correctly input user name and password in Preferences. (I used same credentials to access my library account online; it hovers over my unresponsive Firefox library in split screen mode.) I've logged on and off, restarted Firefox, etc. Nothing helps. What am I doing wrong?

Try sending an error report ID after letting Sync run for a couple of minutes:

You have a queued download processing at the moment. Firefox/Zotero may freeze temporarily when it's done processing, but you should let it finish. (The upcoming Zotero 5.0 won't freeze in these situations.)

Thank you. It's been a half hour since your note, and it still hasn't synced anything. Is there anything else I should do to troubleshoot?

Just this minute, it synced. How weird that it took all day - - I blame it on the election.
