(22) (a) Ganghi, N.; Wyatt, J. L.; Symons, M. C. R. J. Chem. Soc., Chem.
Commun. 1986, 1424. (b) Dinnocenzo, J. P.; Banach, T. E. J. Am. Chem.
Soc. 1988, 110, 971 and refs 1-3 therein. (c) Dinnocenzo, J. P.; Todd, W.
P.; Simpson, T. R.; Gould, I. R. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1990, 112, 2462.
  • sorry, those type of compound-styles, common in Chemistry (and no other discipline) are not supported in Zotero. FWIW, the American Chemical Society now discourages the practice in their style manual.

OK, thanks. Indeed I found this example in a rather old paper published in 2001, but it's true that I couldn't find any in recent ones... I read in chapter 14 of the ACS style guide that "Some publications do not allow multiple references to be listed as one numbered entry; they prefer that each numbered entry include only one unique reference." So it doesn't seem to be an absolute rule but anyway, if it is not supported by Zotero, I will adapt myself!
