Unable to delete items in Zotero 4 (Mac)

Very strange - I cannot drag items to trash, and the 'delete' tab under 'Edit' is not selectable. Any ideas? I have checked for updates - no help. Many thanks.

    I don't think that I've ever been able to drag items to the Zotero trash.

    I just tried with the standalone beta 5. Dragging with key-combinations also doesn't move items to the trash.

    When I want to remove an item I right click and highlight "Move item to trash..."

    I can drag items to collections but not to the trash.

    (No particular reason dragging doesn't work — it's just never been implemented.)
