Boolean search: AND operator returning zero results

Hi, I'm not sure what the correct syntax is, but I get zero results in any search using the AND operator both in quick search and in the advanced search dialogue on the Mac stand alone version. I'm I doing something wrong? Thanks.

you mean you're typing "AND"? Zotero doesn't support Boolean operators in searches.

OK a prior thread confused me into thinking it existed. Bummer. Thanks for the reply.

I have a lot of trouble finding things in Zotero by using search. I almost always have to search through my collections to find anything.

Are there better ways to use search? I almost always get zero hits with search terms.

for one, you can do Boolean AND searches using the "match --> all" setting in the advanced search.
For quick search, note the different settings that are available by clicking on the little arrow:'
Title, Creator, Year
All tags and Fields
Everything (which is all tags+fields + full text content of attachments).
