first citation

HI - I recently got a new computer, and reinstalled Zotero and added Standalone for the first time. Since then, every time I add a citation to my document, Zotero won't recognize whether it's a first citation, and won't insert full publication information. I've never had this problem in the past, and it should be simple but I've looked in settings and in the forums and can't see how to fix this. Thanks.

    My guess is you're using a different citation style. Note that there is Chicago (note) -- which always does short citations, including the first time, and Chicago (full note) -- which adds the full citation info in the first note.

    That did it! It causes other problems which I'm not dealing with on a Friday afternoon, but they are smaller. Thank you.
