Don't store data in 'Additional' field when saving an article from arXiv

Lately I've noticed that when I store an article from arXiv using the Chrome Zotero Connector (4.0.29.11), the field 'Additional' is filled with the article's arXiv ID.

This information is useless since it is already contained in the link. Also, I use this field for something else, so I'd like to keep it empty.

How can I prevent this field from being filled? Was this a recent change in either the connector or the standalone app?

    the arxivID has been put into Extra for a long time (I'd have to check, but at least half a year) and since it's required citation information we're going to keep it there. The only option for you to not import it would be to customize the translator's javascript. (which wouldn't be terribly hard).

    The arXiv ID is the last portion of the article's url. Couldn't that information be taken from there?

    well no -- since arxivIDs are commonly used without the context of the URL, no.
