Is there a limit to "Add item(s) by identifier"?
Hello,
I have a list of about 7,300 different PMIDs from a list of references, and I am trying to import them using the magic wand "Add item(s) by identifier". This is related to a separate problem I am experiencing with references exported from Refworks, discussed here:
https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/62484/import-from-refworks-pmid-information-lost#latest
"Add item(s) by identifier" works if I input a dozen PMIDs at a time. But I tried with ~100 and ~1000 different PMIDs, and it just seemed to stop after a short while (I see a progress bar cycling for less then a minute, then it disappears), did not generate any error message or any report on the import job, etc.
My questions:
-Is this the expected behavior?
-Is there a limit to the number of PMIDs I can submit at a time.
-Is there a workaround?
Thanks much for your help.
Alex

alexandreblais...I should have specified that I could search Pubmed with these PMIDs and "Send to citation manager" but there is a limit of 200 that can be processed at a time...

adamsmithwe've never tested this with massive imports -- there's not built-in limit, but I wouldn't have expected it to work well much beyond 100 IDs. I'd look at fixing your import problem from RefWorks instead.
