I have one suggestion. When adding notes into one reference, one might want to add some latex equation. So it would be very great if the editor for notes can support latex or markdown language, or like lyx editor. Just a small suggestion.

Downloaded tex2im, ran a test on some latex code to produce a *.png.
This *.png was placed in an accessible server which can be embedded in notes as image.
Right click editor window .. "Insert/Edit Image"
Perhaps not as convenient as having an editor like Atom but does allow latex to be embedded in notes as images.
