Copy and paste documents with citations

I wonder if there is any way to keep the zotero codes after copy and paste to a new word document (.doc). That would save me a lot of time!!!

If you select a citation style in the target doc before pasting (either using "Set Document Preferences" or by inserting a single citation) that should just work.

The thing is that when I paste text (not bibliography) from one file to a new one, it doesn't recognize the codes, so I have to insert again the citations

This definitely works in general -- did you try setting a citation style?

When you patse, you select the option to keep the original formatting. Then the documents with citations will copy to your new word document.
