does anyone know if it's possible to see what styles are compatible with what languages? I'm writing in Swedish and would need to see what styles support that language.

your best bets are Chicago Manual, American Psychological Association, and Vancouver, all of which are designed to work pretty well in any language for which we have localization files availabel (which includes Swedish).
